Embassy of Finland

3301 Massachusetts Ave, Washington DC

Do you need to get a visa to travel to Finland? Honestly, I do not know, but you should check the Embassy in DC, anyway.

Designed by Heikinnen – Komonen Architects, the embassy of Finland is one of the first green buildings in DC. In 2010 it became the first embassy building to be awarded with the LEED certification.

The embassy opened in 1994, and it has been embraced by Washingtonians not only as an embassy but as a host and venue of multiple shows and events.

It is a multi-purpose space designed for small and large events with perfect acoustic and state of the art audiovisual facilities.

The building captures Finnish culture and it is built to resemble a high-end cottage in the woods.

The best part… is that it is opened for visitors. You can tour the embassy with no visa required.
